Start-Up Vent Silencer

During boiler start-up vent process, the start-up valve is open and vent low pressure and low temperature moisturized steam to atmosphere.

Before opening of these valve, it is necessary to maintain a minimum flow of steam is required to avoid any abnormalities in boiler, Start-up vent valve is required.

The function of start-up vent valve is that at any case of load throw either power failure or in any tripping of turbine, the pressure of boiler is suddenly rise which affects the boiler tube badly and causes for rupture of Boiler tube.

To avoid these, we suddenly open the start-up vent valve to release the steam into atmosphere for maintaining the steam pressure in controlled limit. The start-up vent silencer used to reduce noise level during boiler start-up process.
