In boilers, safety valves are typically used to protect the over pressure generating in boiler. Also used to avoid damage of equipment due to over pressure. The safety valve silencer mounted on outlet of the valve and steam passes through silencer to minimize sound level and vented to atmosphere.
The diffuser pressure loss selected based on pipe size and project requirements. It will be designed as per ASME Sec VIII Div 1.
